Grial UI Kit 4 For .NET MAUI - Roadmap

Back in May we launched a special edition of Grial UI Kit to accompany the MS Build, and to celebrate the release of .NET MAUI. Today we’re happy to announce the official release of Grial UI Kit 4 with Xamarin.Forms and .NET MAUI support! With 100+ pages for Xamarin.Forms and 70+ for .NET MAUI, Grial UI Kit remains the go-to solution for .NET developers who want to build beautiful apps, faster.

Let’s take a look at what’s been happening in the world of Grial UI Kit for .NET MAUI, and what’s coming in the next few months!

May 2022

We celebrated the release of .NET MAUI GA with the  launch of a Special MS Build Edition of Grial UI Kit 4 with .NET MAUI support for both Android and iOS. This version included 40 screens, 6 themes, 20+ UI Controls, and our Web Admin to manage it all.

July 2022

Our first update. 15 new screens to craft great onboarding and social experiences. 2 new controls - Parallax View and ExtendedCarouselView to help you build more complex layouts without increasing the code complexity. An extended version of our animation framework to create smoother user experiences.

August 2022

Our second update. 10 new pages for .NET MAUI including messaging, eCommerce, Settings and a responsive helpers showcase. A new UI Control: Repeater, offering a robust yet simple API to build horizontal and vertical lists, adaptable to different configurations and designs.  The option to download a kick-off VS Solution for your .NET MAUI project via the Web Admin. The kick-off solution includes just the content you selected, and it’s a great way to start your .NET MAUI app!

September 2022

The .NET MAUI version of Grial will include Flows! 🎉 As a quick reminder, Grial Flows are Grial pages integrated into mini apps that cover common user interaction patterns. They are usually used to kick start larger apps ensuring best UX practices. In September you’ll have eCommerce and Messaging Flows for .NET MAUI.

October 2022

This will be a busy month!

Grial UI Kit 4 for .NET MAUI will have Floating Menus, plus our ExplorerFlow! 🙌

The Floating Menu is a floating button that you can place anywhere on your screen to display important actions on a particular screen. It’s very similar to the Floating Action Button (FAB) in Android’s Material design system. Our ExplorerFlow showcases the floating menu and can be a great starting point for your next great app 🧑‍💻

Ready-to-use charts will also be available in October. You can check out the blog we submitted for the #MAUIUIJuly to see how Grial UI Kit 4 uses MAUI Graphics to build graphs.

November 2022

The .NET MAUI version of Grial UI Kit will have GrialVideoPlayer. This flexible, fully customizable video player will be more robust for both our .NET MAUI and Xamarin.Forms version. Get your apps to the next level with the power of videos with our renewed GrialVideoPlayer. We will also be including a set of new MAUI-specific pages showcasing the Charts released in October!

That’s it for now! We’ll keep building the software we love to help you create the most amazing apps in .NET MAUI and Xamarin.Forms.
